Denver Auto Show Chairman Anthony Brownlee

Americans love cars, and there’s no better testament to that than the tens of thousands of people we welcome to the Denver Auto Show every year. This is the 116th year since the first Denver Auto Show, which is the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association’s opportunity to show you the newest of the new and the best of the best.

This is the largest auto show between Chicago and Los Angeles. It is the one place every year where you can find a tremendous amount of makes and models in one great hall, get all your questions answered and browse to your heart’s content without feeling any pressure to buy. In addition to the vehicles on display, there will be plenty of aftermarket accessories and exotic, over-the-top/unique cars to imagine driving.

This is one of Denver’s best family events. We’ve learned that purchasing a vehicle is a family decision, and that everybody enjoys browsing. We truly enjoy seeing kids trying out the back seat – or even the driver’s seat! After all, they are future drivers. Research tells us that almost 60 percent of the people who visit the Denver Auto Show are considering buying a new car within one year. Despite all the attention being paid to self-driving/autonomous automobiles, we know that for the foreseeable future the actual driving will continue to be done by humans. But while we may not be at the point where they actually drive themselves, these new vehicles are jam-packed with truly revolutionary technology. From parking assistance to infotainment and amazing safety equipment in between.

Fuel economy and the environment have gotten a lot of attention. New cars and trucks are extremely fuel-efficient – they are the cleanest and greenest in history. Since more than ever Coloradans are interested in electric and hybrid vehicles, you’ll also find plenty of them at this year’s Denver Auto Show.

We know that people in the market for a new vehicle are doing most of their research online. But we truly believe there’s no substitute for seeing and comparing the possibilities up close. Are the seats comfortable? Is the cargo space what your family needs? It’s hard to know just by looking at a photo or a video, but you will get the answers you need during the show.

There’s nothing like the feel and smell of a new car’s interior and nothing like the gleam of highly polished sheet metal and chrome. Those of us who are in the new car and truck business love the vehicles we sell and the feeling we get when we get behind the wheel. The Denver Auto Show allows us to share our enthusiasm with you.

Sincerely,
Anthony Brownlee
Chairman Denver Auto Show

Colorado Automobile Dealers Association Chairman ED DOBBS

As the 2017 Chairman of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of you in attendance at the 2017 Denver Auto Show. This is a chance for you to have a firsthand look at the latest and greatest in the automotive industry. You will get to see, touch and take your best selfie sitting in the car of your dreams. The auto industry is currently enjoying some of its most successful years in history. The endless chatter about autonomous vehicles, increased gas mileage and all-electric, plug-in cars has given our industry a huge boost in growth, and even a sense of renewed urgency for us to learn how to handle all of the new technology and find the best ways to offer these technologies to our consumers.

Everywhere you look in Colorado, dealers are going through a significant refresh, and in some cases, opening new stores that feature architecturally exciting designs and materials of the 21st century. These new stores incorporate many luxuries, such as coffee bars and deli’, with some even providing entertainment while you are visiting the store. The newest trend of technology is allowing a customer to walk into a dealership and experience their desired vehicle through virtual reality. This includes being able to manipulate exterior and interior color, as well as getting 360-degree views of their dream car, inside and out. Virtual reality also gives the customer the ability to accessorize their car and make it personal to their taste and lifestyle needs.

These new innovations in automotive technology are just one of the many things that make the Denver Auto Show such an exciting event. It is the simple fact that all of the new makes and models will be in one place for five days, allowing everyone the experience in their own personal way. There will be many interactive displays for test drives and trained professionals all there for one purpose, to show off new cars to everyone and help them make those dreams a reality. This is a perfect opportunity to get your questions answered and make a connection with a dealer staff member who can guide you all the way.

I am so glad you have decided to join us, and will be on hand to make this the best Denver Auto Show yet!

Thanks to our sponsors

The Colorado Automobile Dealers Association would like to thank our sponsors for their participation in presenting the 2017 Denver Auto Show. Their involvement helps us to produce the Mountain West’s premier auto show. We encourage you to express your appreciation to them by considering their products and services when you make your next purchase.
